Free Exploration
Children can choose what interests them during this time. We have plenty of options… playdoh, painting, puzzles, coloring, water color painting, sandbox and they can play with the menagerie of toys that are rotated throughout the year.
Center Time
Smaller groups are formed to play games, manipulate large floor puzzles, craft time, writing letters, science, math, library, and other theme based activities.
Circle Time
We talk about the calendar, appropriate dress for the season and weather, read stories, sing songs, learn poems, show n’ tell and talk about our current theme.
Gym Time
Playground, bike room, active games, relay races, obstacle courses, scooters – anything to get the heart pumping.
Music Time
Singing songs, learning rhythmic patterns and hand motion play.
Recap of Our Day
We remind our students about all that we accomplished that morning so that they can answer parents when asked; “What did you do today!”
